About the PPAI Expo

PPAI, the Promotional Products Association International, is the trade association of the promotional products industry. It traces its history to 1903 and today represents thousands of supplier and distributor companies. Each January it holds PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, one of the largest trade shows for branded merchandise in the world.

Expo is where much of the industry sets its plans for the year. Suppliers introduce new products and decorating methods, distributors source for their clients’ spring and summer programs, and the association runs education on product safety, compliance and sales. Attendance is limited to industry members, which means almost every person at a booth is a buyer or a seller.

For a patch maker, that audience is ideal. Distributors want suppliers who can handle many types of patches, many backings and many quantities with predictable lead times. A sample kit that shows real patches next to their prices at each quantity tier answers most of a distributor’s questions before the first quote.
