What a sample costs, for every patch type
A sample is one real patch, made on the same machines as a full run. Pick how you want it: photographed and emailed to you, or mailed. Up to 5 inches on the longest side, and $30 comes back as credit when you order that design in quantity.

Photographed. We make the patch and email you photos of it. The patch itself is not shipped.
Mailed. The patch is mailed to you. Postage is included in the price.
Embroidered, printed and leather are the lowest. Woven, chenille and PVC cost more because a single piece carries more tooling and material than it would in a run.
$30 comes back on your run
Order the same design in quantity and $30 of the sample fee is taken off that order. The credit belongs to that design, so there is no need to recreate it or sample it again.
If you cancel after we have started
Once your design and sample are underway, cancelling costs a $30 fee. That covers the digitizing and the work already done on your sample, and it applies whatever the reason: you changed your mind, you no longer need it, or you no longer like the image.
PVC and woven are the exception. Their sample starts with a mold made for your design, so once work has started the whole sample fee is non-refundable.
Cancel before any work has started and you are refunded in full.

Common questions
What is the difference between photographed and mailed?
Both make the same real patch on the same machines. Photographed gets you photos by email. Mailed also posts the patch to you, with postage included in the price.
Why do the prices differ by type?
Each type is made differently. Woven, chenille and PVC need more tooling and material for one piece, so a single sample costs more than an embroidered one.
Is there a size limit?
A sample can be up to 5 inches on the longest side. Above that, a single patch can still be ordered as a regular order, and we confirm the price by email before anything is charged.
Do I get anything back if I order a run?
Yes. $30 is credited against the full run of that same design.
