Made and photographed
The same real patch on the same machines — we photograph it and send you the shots instead of posting it. The cheapest way anywhere to see your actual stitched design before committing to a run.
Either way $30 comes back as credit on a later run — which makes the mailed patch $30 net, and the photographed one completely free, once you go ahead.

The pattern is the same at four of the five: the per-piece price on the page is a bulk rate, and a real order of one gets priced as though it were ten. StickerYou is the honest exception and genuinely cheaper — theirs is printed canvas with a sewn edge rather than embroidered thread, and shipping and tax land at checkout, so weigh that against a real embroidered patch delivered for a flat $60. We would rather link you to all six than hope you never look.
Two things worth knowing
Any size up to 6 inches
That covers the overwhelming majority of patches — hats, chests, sleeves, name tags, morale patches. For a large back patch as a one-off you would need a vendor who sets one up individually, and it costs when they do: 4inCustomPatch publishes $403.29 for a single 12-inch. At 6 inches or under, $60 is the whole cost.
Every type except PVC
Embroidered, woven, chenille and printed are all available as a single patch. PVC is the one exception, because a PVC patch physically cannot exist until its mould is cut, and that tooling is what the 10-piece minimum pays for. Order a PVC run and the mould gets cut anyway, so that order includes its pre-production sample free.

Questions people actually ask
Can I really order just one custom patch?
Yes. It is a real patch, stitched to order on production machines, and it costs $60 mailed or $30 photographed. That is a genuine product rather than a minimum we quietly round up — and $30 of it comes back as credit if you later order the design in quantity.
Is there a setup fee or an artwork fee on a single patch?
No. Design, artwork, expert human review and worldwide shipping are all included. The price you see is the price.
So does PatchDesign.AI have a minimum order?
Production runs do, and they are low: 6 pieces for embroidered, 10 for PVC, 25 for printed and woven, 50 for chenille. Buying a single patch as a sample is the way around that, which is why this page exists.
What is the difference between the $30 and $60 options?
Both make the same real patch on the same machines. At $30 we photograph it and email you the shots; at $60 we post the patch to you as well. The $30 credit applies either way.
Why is one patch more expensive per patch than fifty?
Because the work that goes into the first patch — digitising the artwork, threading and setting up the machine, checking the stitch-out — happens once whether you order one or five hundred. On a run of fifty that setup is spread across fifty patches. On one, it is not.
Can I get a single patch in a large size?
Up to 6 inches on the longest side. Beyond that we ask you to order a run.
